Every action has a reaction

The amazing thing is that our collective actions have a reverberative effect that is so powerful that so much joy and so much pain can be inflicted and afflicted. We don't witness the consequence of our actions because they are outside the bounds of our sight and perception, but with a little imagination, we create our world.

The problem is that for many of us, its too troublesome and bothersome to think beyond what lies in front of us, we react to stimuli placed before us and that is the sum of our thoughts. The job and task of running the world is delegated to the politicians who other than once every five years for the most part run amok with the own fancies. The sad thing is when these people who are delegated the task of imagining the best for the whole don't do so. What happens then? Well ill give you a few examples...

A mob of 10,000 whites took sledgehammers to the county jailhouse doors to get at these two young blacks accused of raping a white girl; the girl’s uncle saved the life of a third by proclaiming the man’s innocence. Although this was Marion, Ind., most of the nearly 5,000 lynchings documented between Reconstruction and the late 1960s were perpetrated in the South. Some lynching photos were made into postcards designed to boost white supremacy. What you see is tortured bodies and grotesquely happy crowds .

Many can say that they are not part of this but by commission or omission we are all witnesses and by that we are all part of the problem, change and be part of the solution, otherwise your inaction has a reaction that breeds other than what you stand for.

The question really is how can one person do this to another. What thoughts and ideas could be greater than common humanity. One person is in a physical cage and the other is in a mental cage. With the world controlled by the actions of a few reacting to the benefits and the wills of the minority audacious enough to imagine a world in their sole benefit we have the world against you. The few who think and create and the masses who push forward without thought of how it affects us all.

This is what how we think feels like in real life. Or perhaps how little we think . Give your reactions some action

People are running the world ?!

Can you spot the next leader of the united kingdom ?

The darn suit gives him away doesn't it! Sometimes i lose sight of the fact that we teach so many about structures and the law when the truth is that our lives and the world are run by people, often ordinary people with extraordinary will and imagination.

I give you, the European Union. A bunch of guys and now girls also just trying to do thier best for the people and therein themselves.

So lift your eyes and lift your souls. We are often distracted by material things that shine glistening in the sun and radiate in the moonlight when the journey that takes us to those treasures of our mind go through those around you. Lift your eyes and look around for its the people that control the world and to get with them you need to go through them. Be mindful about people first. Always people first.

We all want the same tings at the end of the day. No matter who we are.

Its the faces. The effect of the smile to show the happiness in the heart. Thats whats its all about, the money ,the job, the education; in its irony, its a lost of hardship to put a smile on your face. And the way to get there is to make enough people around you share the happiness with you. Help them help you.

Don't start with your end in mind

Alice in Wonderland ~"start at the beginning , go till the end then stop."

Many of our minds are in an endless circular loop with no end an no beginning, same old same old.To get out of this loop [Q] i suppose we need to know where we want to go akin to a roundabout where you can only get out when you've chosen where to go. Many people tell us to have an end in mind but that's only half the story since we all obviously imply the end to be our end and then set out to dream big. The house the car the account. Its useless and the bare motivation it could give you is transient. Its probably endorphin inducing images that allow the selling of books that lead so many leaders to propose this path.

The end is the end of others. If you cant improve peoples lives, if you cant contribute to the end of the masses then you will never taste the luxuries of true success. Give the people what they need and you will get what you want. Thats the philosophy of the college, we spend all our time on what our family of students need to become the leaders that they were born to be.

I saw this picture the other day and i made me imagine myself there looking back at him, who would have though then. The ironic thing is that he looks exactly the same as any student we have. There is is no difference between a picture of you today and the kid in the pic. Its whether you get to the next picture thats vital.

The difference in hindsight is that he was focused almost obsessed on an idea that would help the world use the power of computers better. He had no idea how much he made or what was in his bank as he states in an interview with Wired. The only thing that bridges the two pictures is an imagination to create and lead that which is not there yet, a simple obsession and focus on improving the lives of others [the end of others in mind] and the confidence to see it through come what may.

Perhaps we need to update poor alice... start at the beginning, go till then end then make new paths, never stop!. But the important thing in all this is to start. Get out of the loop and improve the world, the bridge will find its way to your feet.

take home: image how to improve all our lives not just yours.

;) by the way, on your path, we suggest you stay away from certain detours...

Gates in 1977 arrested for speeding [which happened often]~ well make sure that your path at Lincoln is more of a highway with little avenues for detours ;)

Imagine : So what do you want to do?

When i close my eyes i see the same image. It's been with me for close to ten years but it has lost none of its luster. A man bathed by the evening sun with his right hand extended pointing out whilst his left hand holds a mike on a stage. Below the stage a sea of people with their hands up. Quite unremarkable but for the faces. Its the faces that keep me coming back to the image. The faces of the people are uplifted, powerful, empowered in sheer joy. I cant see the person on the stage for his back is towards my sight but if, just if, i could give people something that would empower them and bring the the kind of joy that is evidenced by their expressions then i would have justified my space in this life.

I had no idea what I could do to achieve this. Then with a group of eight clansmen on a starry night a decade ago i sat on the rough side on an old slide debating the debacle that is the genesis of any career and i decided that i would teach [my lecturers a lesson] how teaching ought to be done.

They thought i was a rebel, i thought i had an obligation not to listen to idiots. Save one who thought me the rest delivered empty reproductions rote. Imagine the equivalent for food and then understand why my mind was repulsed.

So i thought. I imagined that i could bring those faces to the faces of my students. I pulled all the stops. I still remember one parent passing a glass and seeing me on a table reenacting a case in class. I used any weapon in the arsenal of imagination to crack the dull consciousness that we live in.

After a while the faces were appearing, but the guy in the image he had what looked like a million people empowered. There was also the problem of 'management' ; ive grown to have the word. Systems of pure stupidity were put in place for the benefit of the shallow and insecure. Now the fight against establishment was one that i knew i would lose, but there was no other way the faces would have never come with the limitations. The only solution was regime change by a broke soldier.

I imagine the world as it is and as it may be in real time. With this i placed my pieces and motivated the pawns to be greater than they were. We took over a college. Ideas were held in greater esteem than power, i was in defacto control learning in the university of live on other peoples money. We did well. The growth rate was astronomical. I focused on my faces.

Perhaps i was to immersed for when i resurfaced for air i found in true Orwellian fashion, the pigs were the men. The systems had come back and the money begot power. The needs for my faces would impugn a few zeros from their excessive existence. Money gives people a false consciousness of greatness when it is not earned. It was time to move the legacy of our future to a plain where the great can be nurtured and molded.

By the grace of god, the vision of a leader, a true slight of hand and a twist of fate...lincoln was born.

Our world

We live in one of two worlds. Reality and imagination. Its a pity that we take residence in one and forget the other when we have dual citizenship's for both realms. Today we find many people harboring in realty to the demise of their imagination. We are instinctively drawn to Pavlovian sounds and images and these are abused to hijack our consciousness and hold it hostage to a reality conceived by others. Our reality is schooled by our surroundings, the programmes we watch, the propaganda we are subjected to and the advertising around us. Our reality is encompassed by fear numbing our senses into a jaded existence. The tracks of our sensibility are atrophied.

Its no wonder that people just don't care anymore. We are pressured by overt fear and control that we have given up our ability to imagine and to a great extent think. The only way to break out of this web that shrouds the wonder of our lives is to cleanse the mind and soul in the infinite pool of imagination then take a look back at your reality and experience a paradigm shift. One that is cultured by your imagination and then at that point you will have as your reality whatever you can dare to imagine. Your perception which is your reality will no longer be an aimless compass but the guide to your dreams and destiny. It would seem we all have Captain Jacks compass in our minds.

The trick is to imagine . So welcome to the school of imagination. The business of dreams. Education 360. Witness the transformation. I am a witness and i hope you will be too. The trick to life is to live in the world of imagination and reality at the same time.

Picasso gives us a good example of how reality is sometimes untrue for those of you who can bring yourself to let go of the ground beneath you. According to one account Picasso was on a train trip when someone seated next to him criticized his paintings as a distortion to reality . Picasso then demanded upon the man as to what reality was. The man then took out a picture of his wife and showed it to Picasso telling him that this was how a woman looked like not like the representations in Picasso's paintings. Picasso looked at the photo for a time, thoroughly analyzing it and viewing it from different angles, after a time he said' "She's awfully small...and flat." :)

You see all that we empirically observe is in fact not reality but the interpretation of reality. We can either allow this interpretation to be governed by others or we can take charge of what we think and thus who we are. We must interpret what we sense in terms of imagination to create understanding. Productive thought occur when internal imagination and external experience collied since we are able to positively charge each sense with an empowering symbol which will the act as a precedent for the rest of our subconscious existence.

The only failure is not to try.

So do it. Imagine what you truly want. [its a good way to fall asleep happy] Leave all assumed realities behind and work on a blank canvass in your mind. Imagine all that you could ever wish for in the detail that makes an art masterpiece. The lens of live though this will be beautiful and bring forth the dreams to reality.

MESSAGE: LIVE AND IMAGINE AT THE SAME TIME.

Live like a star. You direct life.
